Below are some inspirations for how to use Real Tasty sauces. Many of the recipes shared below have been collected from customers that have used Real Tasty sauces.

 

Jamaican Jerk Sauce

Jerk Chicken

Ingredients

  • Chicken (this recipe can be used with other poultry or meats such as pork)

  • Jamaican Jerk Sauce

  • Olive Oil

Instructions

  • Coat chicken with jerk sauce (marinating optional)

  • Heat a pan to high heat for about 2-3 minutes. Lower the heat to medium-high and add the oil to the pan and make sure the entire pan is coated with oil

  • Add the chicken to pan and cook uncovered for 5-6 minutes on the first side without moving, until the undersides browns. Flip the chicken using a pair of tongs and cook the other side until chicken is cooked through

  • Turn off heat and allow chicken to rest in pan for at least 5 minutes covered before cutting

 

Jerk Seafood

Ingredients

  • Shrimp or Fish (e.g. Salmon, Sea Bass, etc.)

  • Jamaican Jerk Sauce

  • Olive Oil

Instructions

  • Optional: Marinate shrimp or fish. If marinating, dilute the jerk sauce with a little water or apple cider vinegar

  • Coat shrimp or fish with jerk sauce

  • Heat a pan to high heat for about 2-3 minutes. Lower the heat to medium-high and add the oil to the pan and make sure the entire pan is coated with oil

  • Add the shrimp or fish to pan and cook uncovered for 3-4 minutes on the first side without moving, until the undersides browns. Flip the shrimp or fish and cook the other side until shrimp or fish is cooked through

 

Slow Cooked Jerk Chicken

Ingredients

  • Chicken (this recipe can be used with other poultry or meats such as pork)

  • Jamaican Jerk Sauce

  • Optional: Sweet potato cubed, Onion diced, Bell pepper or other vegetables

Instructions

  • Add jerk sauce to slow cooker

  • Place chicken into slow cooker and coat chicken with jerk sauce

  • Optional: add vegetables to slow cooker

  • Cook for 1 - 3 hours

 

Jerk Eggplant

Ingredients

  • Sliced Eggplant

  • Jamaican Jerk Sauce

  • Water

Instructions

  • Optional: Marinate eggplant. If marinating, dilute the jerk sauce with a little water or vinegar (for best results use apple cider vinegar)

  • Coat eggplant with jerk sauce

  • Heat a pan to high heat for about 2-3 minutes. Lower the heat to medium-high and add the water to the pan

  • Add the eggplant in a single layer to pan and cook covered for approximately 15 minutes on the first side. Flip the eggplant and cook the other side until cooked through

 

Stir Fried Black Beans & Rice

Ingredients

  • Cooked Rice

  • Cooked Beans

  • Jamaican Jerk Sauce

  • Olive Oil

  • Optional: onions, peas, diced carrots

Instructions

  • Heat a pan to high heat for about 2-3 minutes. Lower the heat to medium-high and add the oil to the pan and make sure the entire pan is coated with oil

  • Add jerk sauce to pan and cook about 1 minute

  • Optional: Add vegetables and cook 3-5 minutes

  • Add cooked rice and beans. Cook until everything is heated and sauce is mixed in

 

Jerk Roasted Vegetables

Ingredients

  • Cubed Potato, Onion, Carrot

  • Jamaican Jerk Sauce

  • Water (to dilute jerk sauce, usually just a couple tablespoons)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl put jerk sauce and water

  • Add cubed vegetables, folding the vegetables into the sauce as you add them

  • Place coated vegetables on a large baking sheet. Bake approximately 30 minutes on 400°F

 

Hummus With Jerk Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas or cannellini beans

  • Jamaican Jerk Sauce

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • Optional: 1/3 cup tahini

  • Optional: 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

  • Salt to taste

  • Sundried tomatoes with oil

  • 1 tablespoon water (or more as needed)

Instructions

Tomato Sauce

Pasta With Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • Pasta

  • Tomato Sauce

  • Optional: Olive oil, sliced mushrooms, shrimp, meat, poultry, cheese

Instructions

Stovetop:

  • Cook pasta according to packet directions

  • Heat a pan on medium-high heat.

  • Optional: If using optional ingredients, add the oil to the pan and make sure the entire pan is coated with oil. Add optional items until cooked

  • Add tomato sauce to pan

  • Add pasta to sauce in pan or serve pasta and sauce separately

  • Optional: Garnish with cheese

Microwave:

  • Add cooked pasta to a microwave-safe bowl or plate

  • Top with desired amount of tomato sauce

  • Heat in microwave to desired temperature

  • Optional: Garnish with cheese

 

Tomato Sauce on Flatbread

Ingredients

  • Flatbread

  • Tomato Sauce (regular or hot tomato sauce)

  • Veggies (suggestion: arugula and red onions)

  • Cheese (suggestion: goat cheese or feta)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven or toaster oven to approximately 400°F

  • Spoon tomato sauce onto flatbread

  • Add a layer of cheese and veggies

  • Bake or toast

 

Tomato Sauce Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • Tomato Sauce (regular or hot tomato sauce)

  • Optional: chicken, meat, veggies

Instructions

  • Add tomato sauce to slow cooker

  • Place chicken, meat and/or veggies into slow cooker and coat with tomato sauce

  • Cook for 1 - 3 hours
